Observations of Orlando Gun Show
All I can say is WOW--double WOW.
I got there at about 9:15 and the line had over 100 people in it. I bought some things and was taking them to the car at about 11:00 before returning and the line was twice as long to get in the door. By the time we left (noon) there were still about 150 people trying to pay to get in the door. It was asses and elbows the last 2 hours I was there. The vendors could barely keep up with selling things (ammo) and replacing their inventory on the tables before someone wanted to buy it. I bought ammo from a vendor from Villa Rica, Georgia. He said that business was great and suspected the same as us here--buy it now because it may not be around after the elections. He also said being in the business as long as he has been he has never seen it this busy the last 12 months. He also said that driving 8 hours from the Atlanta area was more than worth the drive with all of the business he had gotten already that morning. Makes me think that we may be in for a hard ride. |

I saw the same two weeks ago in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Long lines, tons of interest in concealed carry... Not a lot of good deals, think the dealers know it's a sellers market.

Re: Observations of Orlando Gun Show
Same thing this weekend on the Space Coast. I was in the CCW class and it was packed. I mailed my packet off today and called Dept. of Agriculture with some questions before I did and had to wait 15 minutes to get an operator. She said they are so overwhelmed with applications that it will probably be the full 90 days before I hear back. The times they are a changin'.

Re: Observations of Orlando Gun Show
The panic rush is on. My local gun shop usually has stuff on the shelves...then the secret stash in the safe. He's been wiped out lately...right down to that beater pistol he hasn't been able to sell for 10 years. I hope everyone here planned ahead.

Re: Observations of Orlando Gun Show
:rolleyes_m: Prices for ammo at the gun and knife shows are insane...gun prices too.
Maybe a trend is developing here...J6P is getting slightly worried. If this keeps up the gun manufacturers will all be running 24/7 to just keep up. Who woulda' thought ? :bear_w00t::D:bear_w00t: Buy now...inflation and demand will push prices even higher before the year ends. |
